To be listed, your event must be open to the public. Use upper and lowercase letters (do not use all caps). Choose the one category from the list at bottom which best fits your event. We will post your event within 3 days. We reserve the right to remove any event that's not appropriate for this site. Any questions, e-mail us at admin@kingstonnycalendar.org.

Event Categories

  • Festivals: A one- or two-day event with a theme, such as Kingston's bluestone industry, Italian feast, jazz
  • Recreation: Centered around a sport or outdoor activity, such as kayak tours of the Hudson River or bike-athon
  • The Arts: Examples are Kingston's Biennial Outdoor Sculpture Show and First Saturday gallery openings.
  • Performances: Ranges from concerts to outdoor drumming performances to plays at the local arts center.
  • History: The annual re-creation of the Burning of Kingston by Revolutionary War re-enactors or a photography exhibition of Kingston storefronts at the Friends of Historic Kingston gallery are examples
  • Workshops and Classes: Examples are an encaustic paint workshop at a local paint manufacturer and a morning gardening primer
  • For Kids: A story hour for preschoolers at a book store and children's swimming lessons at the YMCA are examples.
  • Community: Includes a city-wide yard sale, a garden tour, or a neighborhood block party.
