Featuring performances by musician Gus Mancini, author Marta Szabo, actor and director Gordon Brown, and Gloria Waslyn’s Parrots for Peace. 

Gus Mancini
Gus has been performing for more than 50 years. He’s a regular on WDST’s 100.1 Sunday morning Woodstock Roundtable and has performed live on air hundreds of times. He has performed with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra and created the Jazz department at the Brooklyn Conservatory of music. He now heads his own ensemble, The Sonic Soul Band. He will be playing contemporary standards on saxophone from his CD, In the Heart of the Saxophone.

 Marta Szabo
Marta Szabo is the author of the memoirs The Guru Looked Good and The ImpostersShe is co-director of Authentic Writing, a writing studio for memoir in the Hudson Valley and Manhattan. She is co-founder of the Woodstock Memoir festival, and curates and hosts the Memoir Festival at Omega Institute. Marta will read short memoir pieces.

Gordon W. Brown
Gordon W. Brown will portray the iconic Clarence Darrow in excerpts from Clarence Darrow by David W. Rintels. Darrow is most famous for his defense of John Scopes in the “Monkey Trial” and had a long legal career as a champion of organized labor, a advocate for the poor, and an ardent defender of the hopeless on death row. In the play, Darrow himself recounts his upbringing, his marriages, his dynamic career, and his most challenging courtroom encounters.
