Doug Marcus at Keegan Ales | Music

Doug Marcus is a California transplant who can play all styles of music on both acoustic and electric bass. He is well known around the Hudson Valley for his solo shows that include him singing and plucking along on the upright bass.  He plays a wide variety of styles, including Americana, light classic rock, and folk.

Pauline Oliveros | Ione | The Familiar Stranger @ BSP | Music

Ione is an author/playwright/director and an improvising word/sound artist. Pauline Oliveros  is an American accordionist and composer who is a central figure in the development of post-war electronic art music. Both are currently collaborating with Egyptian artists on The Nubian Word for Flowers, A Phantom Opera. Inspired by the Nubian Diaspora and the life of Lord Horatio Herbert Kitchener of Khartoum, the opera is “a deep dream exploration of the Colonial Mind”.

Tommy a/k/a The Blues Buddha is a rough and tumble blues vocalist who, in his own words, has picked up stylistic influences from people he admires and mixes them into his own musical gumbo. Eclectic influences include: R&B artists Wilson Pickett and Otis Redding…(the) straight-ahead blues and rock and soul of Eric Burdon, Mitch Ryder, Jim Morrison,Elvis… and Tom Jones.

Tommy Does not lock himself in to any paticular style of the blues, His stories can go from a boogie woogie dance beat to hard core Rock and Roll or Straight up Blues and Funk.
